Willapa Hills State Park Rail-to-Trail Print

The Willipa Hills trail is administered by the Wn. State Parks Dept.  It  extends from Chehalis all the way to to Raymond - a total of 56 miles. Funding has been approved for paving the 6 miles from Chehalis to Adna.  This includes the re-planking of the trestles and adding railings.  Road crossings will be upgraded as needed.  There is a parking area and toilet facilities at the Adna end near Beck Park.  The trail will not officially open until there is a safe crossing where the trail crosses Hwy. 6 at Littell and paving is completed.

LCCT's primary role has been to act as a liaison between the Washington State Parks Department and Congressman Baird's office since much of the funding has come from the federal government.  LCCT has also advised the State on useful improvements to the trail and will aid the state with trail maintenance once it is officially opened.
